On 16 Apr. 1915 proceeded to GALLIPOLI, landing on 25 Apr.

On 7-8 Aug. 3rd. L.H. Brigade, comprising the 8th & 9th L.H. charged across the NEK with the 9th L.H. making up the 5th and 6th reserve lines.

Reported missing in action 28 Aug.1915.

Declared Killed in Action 29 Aug. 1915 by Court of Inquiry on 26 Apr.1916.

Awarded 1914/1916 STAR No.25966 on 24 Dec 1920.

Awarded BRITISH WAR MEDAL No.9839 15 Jul 1921.

Awarded VICTORY MEDAL No. 9797 17 Oct. 1922.
